TRACE 0.4.0

- Real tracking: boxes keep their IDs and glide from frame to frame. TRACE tracks while the clip plays or renders and saves the tracking with the project.
- 20 finished looks, from Undercurrent to Ultraviolet.
- Classic blob tracking by default: TRACE finds the edges and texture of your subject and follows them.
- Containers: the boxes can change the picture inside them (thermal, negative, duotone, halftone dots) and around them. Heat Halo, Darkroom, Pinhole and Ultraviolet are built on them.
- TRACE as a mask: two Output options give the next node the boxes as a matte, so another effect or a grade stays inside them.
- Pick & Lock: set Pick on one subject and TRACE follows only that one, keeping its ID.
- More ways to draw: colour palettes, motion paths behind the boxes, markers that travel along the links, new box and point shapes, and your own font.
- Under Advanced · Experimental, on Apple Silicon only: AI detection with Apple Vision (people, faces, cats and dogs) or RF-DETR (80 kinds of everyday objects, with their names), on your Mac.

- MELT is a real datamosh: the picture melts, motion pours and drips, pictures break into blocks, glass shards, holes and corrupted colour. The melt can stay in parts of the picture and meet the rest in negative, screen, difference and other blends. 11 looks: Brushstroke, Wet Paint, Block Swap, Imprint, Pastel, Shatter, Drip, Low Bitrate, Bitstorm, Negative Trails and Burn Through.
- The melt builds up from the start of the clip, or from a cut, and keeps going to the end. Every look works on still shots too, and a cut inside the clip becomes a datamosh transition.
