Who sells what
Paperwolf Studio (Italy) makes the plugins and the Studio app. Lemon Squeezy sells them: it is our merchant of record, an authorised reseller that runs the checkout, takes the payment, charges VAT and sends your receipt and invoice. When you buy, you buy from Lemon Squeezy, and its Buyer Terms govern the payment, taxes and how refunds are handled. Your use of the software is covered by our Licence terms.
These Terms & Conditions add what is specific to Paperwolf Studio: what you get, subscriptions, delivery, refunds, and what happens if something doesn’t work. The difference between consumers and business customers is explained in the Licence terms. If you are a consumer, nothing here limits the rights the law gives you and that a contract can’t exclude.
Products and prices
OpenFX plugins for DaVinci Resolve Free and Studio on macOS, sold one by one, in packs, as the Full Suite or as a Full Suite subscription. Before you buy, check the system requirements and try the free trial on your own Mac. Free plugins are not sold and are not part of any product: the Licence terms cover them.
Prices on this site are in euro and exclude VAT. Lemon Squeezy calculates the VAT or sales tax for your country and adds it at checkout, so you see the total before you pay. The price that applies is the one shown at checkout when you place the order.
We may change prices, offers, products, packs, bundles and plans at any time. A change never affects an order already placed; for subscriptions, see Subscriptions. Discounts and launch offers apply only to the products, period and conditions stated in the offer; unless the offer says otherwise, a discount on a subscription applies to the first payment only, and renewals are charged at the regular price. If a price is shown by an obvious mistake, the order may be cancelled and refunded.
What you get
- One plugin or a pack: a perpetual licence for the plugins listed for it when you buy, on 2 Macs at a time, with free updates to those plugins.
- Full Suite (perpetual): the plugins in the suite when you buy, plus every new plugin we release in the 12 months after your purchase date, added to your licence. Plugins released after that are not included. Free updates to every plugin your licence covers.
- Full Suite subscription, yearly or monthly: the plugins we include in the subscription at any given time, with their updates, while it is active. Today that is every paid Paperwolf Studio plugin; we may add new products to it, but we don’t guarantee that every future product will be included.
Free updates are new versions of the plugins you have, released when and as we decide. New plugins and other new products are separate products and are not included, except as stated above. We don’t guarantee compatibility with future versions of DaVinci Resolve, macOS or hardware. Every licence needs online activation, is renewed online every 30 days, works on at most 2 Macs at a time and depends on our activation service, which we don’t guarantee will be available forever. The details, and the rules for using the software, are in the Licence terms.
Subscriptions
- Renewal. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period (year or month), at the price then in force, and Lemon Squeezy charges your payment method, until you cancel.
- Cancelling. Cancel at any time through Lemon Squeezy, from the link in your receipt email, before the renewal date; Lemon Squeezy may ask for some notice before that date, as its Buyer Terms describe. The subscription then ends at the end of the period you’ve paid for, and the licence stops working. Periods already started are not refunded, except where the law provides otherwise.
- Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, the licence stops working until the payment goes through.
- Price changes. For an active subscription, a new price applies only from your first renewal at least 30 days after we tell you about it by email. If you don’t accept it, cancel before that renewal.
- Contents. What the subscription includes may change, as described in the Licence terms; if you are a consumer and a change is negative in a way that is more than minor, you can end the subscription as described there.
Delivery
Delivery is immediate. As soon as your payment goes through, Lemon Squeezy shows your licence key on the order page and emails it to you with your receipt. Download the Studio app, install the plugins, then paste the key into the app’s Account section to activate your Mac. Keep the receipt email: it confirms your order, the terms you accepted and your choice about the right of withdrawal.
Try before you buy
Every paid plugin has a free trial with every feature, a watermark on the image and no time limit. Use it on your own footage, on your own Mac, with your versions of macOS and DaVinci Resolve, for as long as you need before you buy: it is how you check that the software works on your system and does what you want. A licence removes the watermark.
Refunds and right of withdrawal
Except where the law provides otherwise, all sales are final. We don’t refund purchases for change of mind, or because the software doesn’t run on a system outside the system requirements. Please try the free trial first: it has every feature.
If you buy as a consumer in the European Union, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. For digital content supplied online, such as our plugins and licence keys, the law ends that right once delivery starts, if you asked for immediate delivery and acknowledged that you lose the right. That is what the box before checkout says: “I accept the Terms & Conditions and EULA. I ask for immediate delivery and understand that I then lose my right of withdrawal: digital products are non-refundable.” Checkout stays closed until you tick it. Delivery starts as soon as your payment goes through, and your receipt email confirms the order.
Lemon Squeezy, as the reseller, can still decide to refund an order at its own discretion, for example to settle a payment dispute, as its Buyer Terms describe. A refund granted as a courtesy doesn’t create a right to other refunds. The licence of an order refunded in full, or charged back, is deactivated.
For subscriptions, see Subscriptions. None of this affects your rights if a product doesn’t work as described: see the next section.
If something doesn’t work
The plugins must work as described on this site and in the system requirements published when you bought.
If you are a consumer, the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content applies (Directive (EU) 2019/770; Italian Consumer Code, art. 135-octies and following). We will first bring the product into conformity, for example with an update. If we can’t do that within a reasonable time, you are entitled to a proportionate price reduction or to end the contract and get your money back, as the law provides. These rights apply even though sales are otherwise final, and they can’t be waived. As the law provides, we are not responsible for a problem caused by a system that doesn’t meet the requirements we told you about before the purchase, or by not installing an update we made available and told you about.
If you are a business customer, the legal warranties are excluded to the fullest extent the law allows. If a product doesn’t work as described, we will try to fix it; if we can’t within a reasonable time, our only obligation is, at our choice, to refund the price you paid for that product and deactivate its licence, within the limits in the Licence terms.
Liability and other rules
The rules in the Licence terms on warranty and liability, changes to the software and products, suspension and termination, changes to the terms and the general clauses (whole agreement, severability, transfer, events beyond our control, language) apply to these Terms & Conditions too.

Applicable law
These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim before the courts there. Business customers: the courts named in the Licence terms have exclusive jurisdiction. We may update these terms as described in the Licence terms; the version you accepted at checkout applies to your order, subject to the rules there for subscriptions and business customers.
